How it works
From a phone call to live in five days.
Most web projects drag on for months because of meetings, approval chains and people waiting on each other. There's one of me and one of you, so we skip all that.
-
Day 0 · about 15 minutes
A conversation, not a pitch
Call or text, whatever suits. I want to know what you do, the jobs you actually want more of, and where your work comes from now. That last one matters — if you're booked out on referrals for the next six months, I'll tell you to save your money.
No slide deck, no discovery workshop, no proposal document with a cover page.
-
Day 1–2 · costs you nothing
I design your homepage
This is the part most people find strange. I build a real mockup of your actual homepage — your business, your services, your words — and send you a link you can open on your phone.
Not a template with your logo pasted on. If you don't like it, you say so and we stop. No invoice, no hard feelings, no follow-up campaign.
-
Day 2 · before any work starts
Fixed price, agreed in writing
If you want to go ahead, I send you the full price and exactly what's in it. That number doesn't move. If something comes up that sits outside it, you hear about it before I do the work — never as a surprise line on a final invoice.
Half up front, half when it goes live.
-
Day 3–5
I build the rest of it
Remaining pages, your service breakdown, the gallery, the forms, the Google setup. You get a link to review and two proper rounds of changes — in practice I keep going until you're happy rather than counting.
-
Day 5
Live
Domain connected, SSL on, forms tested, Google Business Profile sorted and Search Console submitted. I send you every log-in and a short walkthrough of how to use it.
-
Ongoing · optional
I keep it running
On a care plan I handle hosting, backups, security and your monthly changes. Without one, it's yours to look after — and I'm still on the end of the phone if something breaks.
Why five days is realistic
Because almost nothing in a normal web project is actual building.
No meetings
An agency runs a kickoff, a discovery session, a design presentation and a stakeholder review. That's three weeks before anyone writes any code.
No handovers
Nothing sits in a queue waiting for a designer to brief a developer, because I'm both. What I design is what I build.
No approval chain
You're the only person who has to say yes. There's no committee, no brand guardian, no marketing manager who needs a week to think about it.
Fair questions
What do you need from me?
Less than you'd think. Your logo if you have one, photos of your work if you've got them on your phone, and fifteen minutes on the phone. If you don't have photos I'll work around it and tell you what to shoot.
What if I go quiet for a week?
Nothing bad happens. The five days is my working time, not a countdown clock on you. Plenty of people take a fortnight to come back on the mockup and that's completely fine.
What if I hate the mockup?
You tell me and we're done, at no cost. Or you tell me what's wrong and I'll have another go — I'd usually rather do that, since the second attempt is normally the one that lands.
Who owns the site at the end?
You do. The domain is registered in your name, the files are yours, and you get every log-in. If you want to move it elsewhere later I'll help you pack it up rather than make it difficult.
Let's start with a free mockup.
Tell me about your business and I'll design your homepage. No cost, no obligation, no pushy follow-ups. If you like it we'll talk. If you don't, you've lost nothing but ten minutes.
